Original vintage poster one of the series of twelve posters depicting historical events and describing the basis for the development of Western economic power. The poster depicts and describes how Adolf Hitler got to power – after the horror of the First World War there was an economic depression in all the industrial countries. Workers found that there were few jobs, that living standards were bad and that the future looked worse. So workers began to get together to change the system. In Germany the big industrial bosses – such as Thyssen and Krupp – feared that they would lose their power to the workers. They decided to support the Fascist Party – The Nazis. – the poster features illustrations of workers, Nazi march against the Jews, a German poster exposing Hitler in 1932.
